Kim Martucci's Blog

Kim is so in love with the science of meteorology that her number one hobby is chasing tornadoes. On her most exciting excursion into tornado alley, she spotted twelve of the dangerous storms. The story she broadcast about that trip helped earn her an Emmy Award nomination as best weathercaster in New England.

TYPING TEST (in pica or elite? Remember that?)

I just came across this on someone else's blog (Thanks My Two Cents!) How fun! Let's review before you begin:

ASDFJKL; And now to get every letter in the alphabet in, type the following: The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. WARMED UP YET?

Okay, I know I have been probing you for a few weeks on this -- what should my next Wedding Watch blog be about? The voting is over and the results are in: 107 of you want to know how Ben and I met (out of 145 total votes.) So, over the weekend, I will unfold the story on my blog.

Next vote? Have a look at the blonde chick top right... Who could that be? Not my sister... Let me know which look you prefer -- Blonde or Red Head. You can vote in the yellow box below. I'll check in later and have a GREAT weekend!

Hi Kim, thanks for stopping by my blog. Unfortunately that cute cat wasn't mine. My cats simply don't want to yodel. And we live so close to the Alps where yodeling comes naturally :o).

Neither of them was up for it when I tried it and believe me, I have tried (though no animals were harmed during this LOL). I do get a kick out of seein a cat yodel though.

I'm laughing (in a good way!) at your blog! I teach Technology, which includes typing (keyboarding, in this day and age!) to 3rd and 4th graders. Soooo different from when I was in high school (I didn't even do it in elementary school!). I have noticed in one of my students (a 4th grade girl) can just fly across the keyboard. She also plays the piano and I think there is a correlation between the two. She has already compeled 21 lessons TWICE this school year! And she has the keyboard covered by a skin! Amazing! Livejournal is a blogging site that lets you combine the feeds of stuff that is interesting to you - I have a "friends" page that lets me read all of my blog feeds in one place... sort of like a big newspaper column... pulls all the blogs I want to read into a central location. I added a link to your blog so I can see when you've updated your site without having to go out to your web page.

you can see what I'm reading here, for example - http://scottobear.livejournal.com/friends

Congrats on the engagement, by the way!

Tied? (Narmeen?)

It's not a competition! I post because I like to "hunt and peck" at whatever measly pace I can muster. LOL

So you are changing your hair color, or thinking about it? I hope it's better than the Topper dew that his hair dresser put him up to! (actually it wasn't that bad semi mussed up. now it's just moused up)

But yeah you (and others) at wusa9 are part of my reading routine. Also I usually have something to say in return. Hopefully not boring, but I do tend to go off on tangents... just thoughts.

Hope it's ok, hard to understand how I'm digested from where I sit sometimes. I try to contribute.

But yeah... how did you two stumble across each other, and stop putting Ben on the spot all the time in your videos! (well maybe he likes it)
I laugh...

Hey Kim, you weather Gal you!

On my previous post thanks for approving it I was worried that you could misunderstand me (I mean no harm)

Unrelated to the topic though I just had an exciting inspiration concerning your vocation.
Weather alert system that would operate similar to a smoke alarm.
Reading toppers blog I posted ideas as they came to me about a wifi system that would work as conveniently as a smoke alarm system networked and "FOCUSED" on the specific area or path of tornado.

It's not a new idea as I discovered later from Google, but with the cost spread out from consumer/provider/governemnt could save lives!

Check this link

Get the idea?

Anyways I think too much...
